I love me some All Star Music. That’s where Ean and I have stayed most often. It’s affordable and fits into our budget. It’s almost always available, even when we would book last minute trips.
But in the past, the rooms were always a little musty, kinda drab, and usually smelled slightly funny. We didn’t care- we didn’t want to pay premium for a room we were only using for sleep. We spent 95% of our time out and about. We didn’t need a real fancy room.

Then 2020 happened and DVC resorts were the first to reopen. Our rebooked-three-times trip was finally going to happen less than a week after the parks were opening back up. The resorts we were staying in weren’t going to be reopened yet (that particular trip we were splurging on a room at Yacht Club for a couple days and doing a split stay at All Star Movies because their rooms were already renovated). They ended up putting us in two DVC resorts at no extra cost to us and, you guessed it, we fell in love with that luxury.
Fast forward a couple trips to this past one, December 28, 2021 to January 2, 2022. Deluxe was absolutely out of the question. So back to All Star Music it is!
To my surprise, we walked in to a newly renovated room. After starting my new job in August, I (obviously) have been unable to stay 100% on top of everything Disney like I did all last summer. So I was unaware of the new renovations. Maybe I was aware? I honestly did not remember this knowledge entering my brain if I did in fact read about it before booking the trip.
Let me just say – these renovations are IT! Does it make the rooms as luxurious as the deluxe resorts we stayed in the past 3 trips? No. BUT does it feel waaaaayyyy better than before? ABSOLUTELY!!!
Check out this photo tour of the room 😍

I truly enjoyed the newly renovated accommodations! It doesn’t feel like a value resort anymore (well, except for the fact that you enter your room from the outside 😂). 10/10 recommend!
Let me know if you have any questions about the resort! I’d love to answer them!
